Neighborhood Reunion III
Saturday, September 11, 2010, Noon-6:00 p.m.
St. Clair Shores Memorial Park 32400 Jefferson at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile Rd.)
On Saturday, September 11, 2010, apporximately 550 alumni and friends from the surrounding neighborhood got together to remember the great times we had growing up. We talked, we laughed, we reminisced about the little school located at Drexel and Avondale that opened in 1931 and closed in 1971.
We had two alumni from the St. Martin's graduating class of 1938 and representatives from almost every class from 1940 to 1971.
The "Go Cadets!" spirit is still alive and well!
Which brings up a pertinent question: The alums from the classes of the 1940s throught the middle of the 1950s can't remember being the "Cadets." Does anybody know when the St. Martin's teams became the "Cadets?"
